Amolops ricketti

Amolops ricketti, also called rana spinosa, is known as “Bangbang” in local areas. It is a species of frog in the amphibia Ranidae family and excels in capturing water snakes. Amolops ricketti’s natural habitants are moisture lowland forests and rivers, and sometimes scramble ashore to have activities at night. It mates with nummifer. Amolops ricketti produces sounds of “Bangbang” at daylight or night, hence its local name of “Bangbang”. Amolops ricketti’s meat is delicate and fresh, and even tastes much better than chicken soup in making soup. Owing to rich nutrition, it is one of the rare delicacy, and also the best cuisine to entertain guests.
